About the role

The Partner Marketing team helps build and scale the growth engine that enables Shopify Partners to bring more Shopify to the world. We bring this goal to life by planning, executing, and optimizing scalable partner co-marketing initiatives.

As Partner Marketing Lead - Strategic Partners, you will focus specifically on building and leading bespoke, full-funnel marketing campaigns with some of our top partners.

This role requires you to be an excellent marketer with the ability to identify and focus on priority high-leverage initiatives. You have a proven track record of building and managing marketing campaigns across multiple channels, with a laser focus on driving impactful commercial outcomes. You enjoy and thrive working in a cross-functional team, and managing multiple internal and external stakeholders - including C-suite - towards a common goal.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and drive strategy for our a strategic partner portfolio; develop systematic and data-backed approach to marketing management 
  • Propose innovative ways to scale our go-to-market efforts with strategic partners
  • Manage a portfolio of partners, quantify and qualify marketing opportunities and provide consultative support to help drive successful marketing activities 
  • Own end-to-end execution for partner go-to-market activities and measure effectiveness of marketing programs and campaigns to improve ROI
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to gain audience and market insights to inform strategy, messaging and go-to-market 
  • Manage and track a quarterly budget 
  • Work cross functionally with Partnerships, Sales, Product and Product Marketing teams to drive shared commercial objectives
  • Produce and deliver presentations to internal and partner audiences

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in B2B and Partner marketing
  • Experience producing and leading successful demand generation and integrated marketing campaigns to reach commercial targets
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders with different opinions to a common outcome
  • Passion for scaling, with experience creating repeatable and successful marketing programs
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills while being able to stay focused on the big picture and pay attention to details
  • Proven ability to lead and execute on projects that involve alignment and collaboration across disciplines and crafts
  • Experience informing and influencing commercial business, and product marketing strategy
  • A resourceful attitude that can proactively seek out information to influence action
  • Ability to thrive in uncertainty, resolve ambiguity and think quickly on your feet
